Job Title: Part-Time Competitive Soccer Coach

About the Role
We are looking for energetic, dynamic, and passionate Part-Time Competitive Soccer Coaches to join our youth coaching staff. This position is ideal for local, ambitious coaches—including former high school or collegiate players, young professionals, and rising club coaches—who want to make a real impact on local youth athletes.
You will lead team training sessions, direct game-day coaching, and foster a competitive, high-energy environment focused on individual skill development, tactical understanding, and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Train & Develop: Plan and execute engaging, high-tempo training sessions (2–3 evenings per week) tailored to competitive youth teams.
Game Day Leadership: Lead teams during weekend matches, local league play, and regional tournaments.
Player Growth: Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to help players elevate their technical abilities and tactical IQ.
Communication: Maintain clear, professional, and positive communication with players, parents, and club leadership regarding schedules and player progress.
Safety & Culture: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive team culture that balances high standards with a passion for the game.
Qualifications & Requirements
Local Resident: Must be based in or near the Saint Johns area with reliable personal transportation.
Soccer Background: Prior experience playing at a competitive level (Club, High School, College, or semi-pro) is strongly preferred.
Coaching Experience: Minimum [1–2] years of experience coaching youth sports, clinical camps, or team environments.
Coaching Licenses (Preferred):
US Soccer (USSF) 'Grassroots', 'D', or higher (or equivalent NSCAA/United Soccer Coaches diplomas) strongly preferred.
Willingness to pursue or upgrade coaching credentials (club support available).
Availability: Must be available during weekday evenings (typically 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM) and weekends for matches/tournaments.
Clearances: Ability to pass a background check and complete SafeSport certification.
